First Baptist Academy came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Bishop Verot Vikings as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Adriana Garcia paced First Baptist Academy's offense, picking up 19 kills. Garcia got some help from Trinity McCormick and her 31 assists. McCormick also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Natalie Burkart, racking up four apiece.

First Baptist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Bishop Verot, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Baptist Academy will challenge LaBelle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Verot, they will square off against Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
