Arcadia barely beat Burbank the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Apaches never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Apaches, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Samantha Almaraz's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Zabrina Perez, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
Arcadia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Burbank, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13-1.
As of now, neither Arcadia nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
