Tuttle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cruz Campbell, who threw for 409 yards and five TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes. Those 409 passing yards gave Campbell a new career-high. A healthy portion of Campbell's aerial production (239 yards to be exact) went to Jalen Lane, who also brought in three receiving touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Broken Bow got the win against Weatherford last Friday by a conclusive 50-28. The Savages are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the ninth game they've won by 20+ points this season.
Tuttle better keep an eye on Greydon Howell. He was instrumental in Broken Bow's win, throwing for 260 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 133 yards and one score on only ten carries. Their leading receiver Adrian Brannon was Howell's top target yet again, picking up 110 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Broken Bow proved: they limited Weatherford to a paltry two yards per carry. The team can thank Bentley Brown for the heroic effort on defense: he. Broken Bow didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged eight.
Broken Bow's defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for 3.5 sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Brown and Bryan Clay, who each picked up 1.5 sacks apiece. Broken Bow got some further help from Brown: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made 16 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Tuttle's record is now 12-0. As for Broken Bow, their record now sits at 11-1.
Tuttle won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in November of 2019, slipping by Broken Bow 14-13. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Savages turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
