Baseball Recap: Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Has No Trouble Against Lookout Valley

While Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Lookout Valley. The Eagles put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts let Ben Thompson and Jackson Owens run wild. Thompson scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5, while Owens scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave Owens a new career-high. Landon Miller was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lookout Valley only managed one hit.

The win made it two in a row for Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts and bumps their season record up to 12-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Lookout Valley, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-21.

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellowjackets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
