Basketball Recap: Madison-Grant Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Olivia Dunham and Madalee Holloway

Madison-Grant lost against Tri-Central back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Madison-Grant Argylls lost 55-31 to the Tri-Central Trojans. The Argylls' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Madalee Holloway and Olivia Dunham certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Holloway posted seven points along with six boards and six steals, while Dunham had 12 points and five rebounds. Holloway has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.

Tri-Central was led to victory by Logan Creason and Olivia Dempsey. Creason dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds, while Dempsey earned 12 points along with seven assists and seven steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Creason has scored at least a third of Tri-Central's points. Layla Keith was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Madison-Grant's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Tri-Central, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Madison-Grant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 41-27 victory against Blackford on the 7th. As for Tri-Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-9 win against Wes-Del on the 4th.
