Homedale is 9-1 against Parma since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Trojans will face off against the Panthers at 12:00 p.m. Homedale is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Homedale had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt New Plymouth on Friday. The Trojans blew past the Pilgrims 22-9. Considering the Trojans have won seven games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Xavier Uranga made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Uranga was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.

In other batting news, Chance Martell was incredible, firing off three triples, five runs, and two stolen bases while going 4-for-5. Those three triples gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of William Dunne, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Homedale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Parma beat Weiser 8-4 on Friday.
Like Homedale, Parma also got a great game from a two-way player: Kaden Cole. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cole was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Obenchain, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Parma: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Jacob Mikelson was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Homedale's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Parma, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.
Parma's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Homedale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. It's a different story for Parma, though, as they've only averaged .251. Will they be able to contain Homedale's hitters?
Homedale came out on top in a nail-biter against Parma in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
