The Freedom Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 53-10 win over Hylton at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Freedom has managed all season.
Freedom was led to victory by Keilana Johnson and Keilani Johnson. Johnson scored 12 points along with four steals and four blocks, while Johnson scored 20 points along with seven assists and five steals. That's the first time this season that Johnson posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Savannah Price, who scored eight points.
The victory was the third in a row for Freedom, bringing their record for this year to 4-4. As for Hylton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Freedom will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against James Madison at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th. Hylton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Potomac Senior at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
