The Central Cobras will face off against the South Fork Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Central is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Lincoln Park Academy on Tuesday. The Cobras blew past the Greyhounds 7-1. The victory continues a trend for the Cobras in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now won three in a row.
Jarret Myers looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Jakobe Blackwood was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Timothy Stevens, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, South Fork hadn't done well against Jensen Beach recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since April 11, 2025.
Miguel Ferry looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.
At the plate, South Fork's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dustin Werthem, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run. Jake Bruno also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
South Fork's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Central, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
