After losing to the Bethel Bees the last time they met, the Milton-Union Bulldogs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Milton-Union took down Bethel 38-20 on Saturday. Given Milton-Union's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while Bethel is ranked 570th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jenna Brumbaugh continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Milton-Union's points. Sophie Layman was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Milton-Union and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Bethel, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-5 record last season and are now at 2-5.
Milton-Union's road trip will continue as they head out to face Houston at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th. Houston is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Bethel will be home for the holidays to greet Arcanum at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
