Basketball Recap: John Gilbert Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Varsity Opponent

There's no place like home for Marshall Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against Varsity Opponent by a score of 65-54 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Guardians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marshall Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than John Gilbert, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Gilbert has become a key player for Marshall Christian Academy: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least ten boards, but 3-11 otherwise. Isaiah Sanders was another key player, going 6 for 7 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds.

Marshall Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-12.
