Lowry is 0-10 against Churchill County since May of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Buckaroos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Greenwave at 3:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, Lowry didn't have quite enough to beat Spring Creek and fell 13-12. The Buckaroos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jakob Bauman was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while going 4-for-5. He has become a key player for Lowry: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 8-9 otherwise. Bryce Niblack was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Churchill County was not the first on the board last Saturday, but they got there more often. Everything went their way against Elko as they made off with a 14-3 win.
Luis Lopez-Pinuelas looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Zack Adams was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Trevor Hyde, who scored four runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
Churchill County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Churchill County has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Lowry, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
Lowry might still be hurting after the 14-0 loss they got from Churchill County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Buckaroos have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
