Longview had won seven straight games and Jailiyah Rockmore did her part to make it eight on Saturday. The Lobos sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-43 win over the Martins Mill Mustangs for which the team can thank Rockmore, who posted 18 points and five rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, Martins Mill still got an impressive performance from Kara Nixon, who had 25 points and three steals. The contest was Nixon's ninth in a row with at least 24 points. Brilen Butcher was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.

Longview's record now sits at 8-0. As for Martins Mill, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Longview has already played their next matchup, an 83-37 victory against Terrell on the 25th. As for Martins Mill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-28 win against Broaddus on the 25th.
