Standley Lake is 2-8 against D'Evelyn since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Gators are taking a road trip to  challenge the Jaguars  at 6:30  p.m. Standley Lake will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
On Monday, Standley Lake made easy work of Wheat Ridge  and carried off  a  3-0 victory.
 The final score came out to 25-18, 25-4,  25-11.
Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when D'Evelyn faced off against Evergreen on Tuesday. The Jaguars lost  3-0 to the Cougars. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
 While D'Evelyn was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-12,  25-16.
 Despite the  loss, D'Evelyn saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Chelyn Kwon  had 13  digs and two assists.  Arianna Griffin also deserves some recognition as  she  served her first  ace of the season.
 D'Evelyn's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Standley Lake, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Tuesday's  contest:  Standley Lake hasn't let much over the net this season,  having  averaged 10.6  blocks per game. It's a different story for D'Evelyn, though, as  they've been averaging  only 0.4  blocks. Given Standley Lake's sizable advantage in that area, the Jaguars will need to find a way to close that gap.
 Standley Lake took their  victory against D'Evelyn  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024 by a conclusive  3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
