The Alvin Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 45-37 to Clear Creek. While losing is never fun, Alvin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 750th, while Clear Creek is ranked 316th).
When it comes to explaining why Alvin lost, one person who can't be blamed is Maddy Kincaide. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds. Kincaide scored a full 43.2% of Alvin's points, the 14th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendell Jackson, who scored 8 points.
Alvin now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Clear Creek, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.
Alvin will face off against Palmview at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmview is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.1 points per game. Clear Creek's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cypress Falls at 4:00 p.m. on November 30th.
