After flying high against the Guernsey-Sunrise Vikings last Monday, the Crawford Rams came back down to earth. Crawford was dealt a 73-26 defeat at the hands of Hyannis on Friday. Crawford has struggled against Hyannis recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Crawford's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Roman Gilmore-Metz, who scored two points along with two steals and two blocks, and Carter Rudloff who scored two points along with eight rebounds. Rudloff hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games.
Crawford struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Hyannis, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
Crawford won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Potter-Dix at 5:00 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Potter-Dix focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Tuesday. As for Hyannis, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sutherland on January 27th. Sutherland is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
