Marshall has gone a perfect 6-0 against South El Monte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Marshall will be playing in front of their home fans against South El Monte at 3:30 p.m. Marshall will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
While Marshall didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Arroyo 3-0 on Friday.

Keen Velasco had an outrageously good game as he had five digs and four aces. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times he's played.
Velasco wasn't the only good servers: Marshall was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, South El Monte came up short against Rosemead on Friday, falling 3-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-8, 25-8.
South El Monte's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Everything went Marshall's way against South El Monte in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Marshall made off with a 3-0 win. Does Marshall have another victory up their sleeve, or will South El Monte turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
