The Wilburton Diggers suffered their biggest loss since December 16, 2023 on Friday. Their tough 55-34 defeat to Heavener might stick with them for a while. Wilburton has struggled against Heavener recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Heavener can attribute much of their success to Bryce Morrison, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Morrison is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Clubb, who scored ten points.
Wilburton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Heavener, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-7.
Wilburton will head out on the road to face off against Hartshorne at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heavener, they will be playing at home against Talihina at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
