The Lake-Lehman Knights will venture away from home to take on the Valley View Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lake-Lehman's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Wednesday. They put the hurt on Greater Nanticoke Area with a sharp 15-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Brudnicki, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jordyn Shorts was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
Brudnicki wasn't the only one making solid contact: Lake-Lehman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greater Nanticoke Area didn't got any hits.
Meanwhile, Valley View entered their tilt with Scranton Prep on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Cavaliers.
Taylor Cawley and Abbi Call were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Cawley tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Call tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Cawley has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. At the plate, Cawley went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Call went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Cora Castellani was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those doubles were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Moyles, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Valley View's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lake-Lehman, their record now sits at 6-1.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lake-Lehman has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .458. However, it's not like Valley View struggles in that department as they've averaged .485. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
