El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, Calif.) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used 14 fourth quarter points to seal the 28-6 victory over
Poly (Sun Valley, Calif.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter, the Conquistadors led 14-0 at the half.
El Camino Real saw its 14-point halftime lead fall to eight entering the fourth.
The Parrots' only touchdown came on a 14-yard pass from
Eric Manriquez to
Bryan Ramos in the third quarter.
El Camino Real (1-0) goes up against Arleta in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Poly (0-1) locks horns with Bernstein also in a non-conference game.
