Franklin Community has gone 8-2 against Perry Meridian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Grizzly Cubs will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Franklin Community put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-8 margin over Indian Creek. With that victory, the Grizzly Cubs brought their scoring average up to 7.8 runs per game.
Annabelle Richter made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Richter was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Charlee Cramer, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Leugers, who scored four runs while going 2-for-4.
Franklin Community was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Creek only posted a batting average of .267.
Meanwhile, Perry Meridian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 14-10. With that win, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Kiera Nickelman was a standout: she scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Those hits were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Alivia Neace, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Perry Meridian pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Franklin Community, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Perry Meridian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Franklin Community has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Perry Meridian, though, as they've been averaging 11.2 hits. Given Franklin Community's sizable advantage in that area, the Falcons will need to find a way to close that gap.
