Hayward has gone a perfect 3-0 against Irvington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Farmers are taking a road trip to challenge the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Irvington will be up against a hot Hayward team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Farmers took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 47-7 victory over Kennedy. Given the Farmers' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Titans are ranked 815th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Irvington's strategy against Newark Memorial on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Vikings blew the Cougars out of the water with a 30-0 final score. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Vikings have posted against the Cougars since October 20, 2017.

Irvington's win came from a few key players Hayward will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Gabrial Aruwah, who picked up 86 receiving yards and one TD.

Irvington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Tommy Chang led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.

Irvington's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Hayward, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Hayward strolled past Irvington when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a score of 55-39. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Vikings' Matthew Forbes, who rushed for 120 yards and four scores.
