Ludlowe has gone a perfect 10-0 against Ridgefield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Falcons will welcome the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Ludlowe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Ludlowe's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when St. Joseph hitters got past them. The Falcons came up short against the Cadets on Thursday, falling 15-1. The Falcons have struggled against the Cadets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Ludlowe saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Santa Barbara, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Ridgefield put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for McMahon. The Tigers blew past the Senators 18-0. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.
Ridgefield also got a great performance from Caitlin McGratty as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. McGratty has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jada Metzger, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Riley Keane, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Ridgefield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McMahon only posted an OBP of .062.
Ludlowe's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Ridgefield, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-7.
Ludlowe beat Ridgefield 3-0 when the teams last played back in June of 2024. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
