The Center Cougars suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 66-40 defeat at the hands of Colfax. Center was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Colfax apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Center's loss came despite strong showings from Dominic Johnson and Manny Sims. Johnson scored six points along with two steals, while Sims scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrill Reid, who scored five points along with two steals.
Center has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Colfax, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.
Center will head out on the road to square off against Lindhurst at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lindhurst is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Colfax will take on Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Bear River is ranked 664th, while Colfax is ranked 643rd).
