Erin Zambrano looked comfortable as she tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Coral Reef's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Charlotte Diedrick, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Palmer Trinity got the win against Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-0. The Falcons have beaten the Cyclones the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cyclones has come to flipping the script.
Hailey Rodriguez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Mela Fajardo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Kinsey Cerda, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Palmer Trinity was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart only posted a batting average of .133.
Coral Reef's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Palmer Trinity, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
