The King's Academy Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Tyler HEAT at noon on Saturday. King's Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
After soaring to 38 points the game before, King's Academy were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were dealt a 60-12 loss at the hands of Leverett's Chapel. While losing is never fun, King's Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Leverett's Chapel is ranked 87th).
The losing side was boosted by Caiden Stafford, who picked up 109 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Tyler HEAT's 8-4 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were outmatched by Chester on the road and fell 48-12. Tyler HEAT has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped King's Academy to 2-5 and Tyler HEAT to 1-5.
King's Academy was taken down by Tyler HEAT 50-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Thankfully for King's Academy, Cale Starr (who gained 136 total yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 19 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
