Calvert had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Monday. Everything went their way against the Columbian Tornadoes as they made off with an 8-2 win. Considering the Senecas have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Tucker Coleman looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Calvert's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Vincenzo Lyons, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Calvert kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive matchups.

Calvert pushed their record up to 23-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Columbian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.

Calvert and Columbian are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Senecas will be playing in front of their home fans against Old Fort at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbian, they will head out on the road to challenge Lexington at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
