The Sulphur Bluff Bears stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Bloomburg 73-25 on the road. With Sulphur Bluff ahead 38-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Matthew Overly continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with eight assists and six steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Clint Degen, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Sulphur Bluff's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Bloomburg, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Sulphur Bluff will be playing in front of their home fans against Yantis at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Yantis is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Bloomburg, they will head out on the road to take on Saltillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saltillo will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
