Hurricane is 1-9 against Cedar since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Tigers will face off against the Reds at 3:00 p.m. Hurricane will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Hurricane turned things around against Pine View on Wednesday. They blew past the Panthers 10-2. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by eight runs or more this season.
Jon Raddatz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gianni Giammalva and Karston Goble did most of the damage at the plate: Giammalva went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base, while Goble went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Goble has become a key player for Hurricane: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Max Hutchings was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
Hurricane always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Cedar sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Hurricane on Thursday. The Reds haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Cedar let Carson Fackrell and Karver Tom run wild. Fackrell got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI, while Tom went 3-for-5 with one run and one double. That's the most hits Tom has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Karson Duncan, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Hurricane's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-9. As for Cedar, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Hurricane couldn't quite finish off Cedar in their previous meeting on Thursday and fell 7-5. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
