The Kidder County co-op [Steele/Tappen/Wing/Napoleon] Pirates were the 48-31 winner over the Oakes Tornadoes when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Kidder County co-op [Steele/Tappen/Wing/Napoleon] fell 42-33 to Oakes on Saturday.
It was another big night for Lily Thorpe, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds for Oakes. Thorpe is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games she's played.
Kidder County co-op [Steele/Tappen/Wing/Napoleon]'s loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Oakes, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Kidder County co-op [Steele/Tappen/Wing/Napoleon] does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oakes will be home for the holidays to greet Ellendale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
