Volleyball Recap: Parkland Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Parkland won the last time they faced Nazareth Area and things went their way on Monday too. The Trojans blew past the Blue Eagles 3-0.

Parkland walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-9.

Parkland can attribute much of their success to Zoey Leach, who had nine digs and four aces. Those nine digs gave Leach a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Parkland was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nazareth Area only served four aces.

Lorelai Castagna and Addison Wagner certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Castagna had 14 assists and seven digs, while Wagner had seven digs and two aces.

Parkland is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season. As for Nazareth Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Parkland has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Stroudsburg on the 17th. As for Nazareth Area, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Easton Area on the 17th.
