Northland Pines had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They took down the Merrill Bluejays 61-45. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 71-39 victory the Bluejays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Northland Pines' win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-1. As for Merrill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Northland Pines will welcome Rhinelander at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Northland Pines knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Rhinelander likes a good challenge. As for Merrill, they will challenge Wausau East at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Wausau East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
