Given Heritage Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while St. John's Northwestern Military Academy is ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Heritage Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Trotter, who scored 23 points. Trotter continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Desmond Jones, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Central Wisconsin Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Heritage Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
