Volleyball Recap: Salina Central Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Junction City came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Salina Central, but Elizabeth Howard wouldn't allow it. The Mustangs walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bluejays on Tuesday with plenty of help from Howard, who had nine assists and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Salina Central was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-11.

Salina Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. As for Junction City, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Salina Central and Junction City will both be playing Topeka the next time they take the court. The Bluejays will host the Trojans on Thursday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
