Texas Leadership Charter Academy's Jeremy Sumners recorded the longest rushing play in 1A-2 Region II District 6 this season in his game against Ranger last week. Sumners scampered for 85 yards on the play and finished with 144 on the day as his team beat the Bulldogs.
Christoval scaled the state rankings by moving to 772 from 930 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cougars were able to make move up by topping D'Hanis 23-0.
Christoval's dynamic duo of Jakob Whitworth and Devon Marshall proved to be unstoppable against the Cowboys, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Whitworth threw for 208 yards and Marshall had 61 yards receiving.

The Cougars' Whitworth and Mitchell Lane have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Whitworth has thrown for 488 yards this season, while Lane has 11 catches for 167 yards. Eldorado's Tres Whitten leads the league in rushing yards with 188.
Johnny Burleson's team took down Chad Coker's team 75-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sumners threw for 37 yards and caught 2 passes for 27 yards during the win.
