Unity Christian found their leader in underclassman Anna Grace Wells, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn King, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Excel Christian Academy's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.5 points per game. As for Unity Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Excel Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Praise Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Praise Academy has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 10. As for Unity Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakwood Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
