Horton dropped their record down to 5-10 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the McLouth Bulldogs, falling 15-0. The Chargers were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Bulldogs' pitchers proved too tough.

As for McLouth, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games.

For McLouth's part, Maddie Turner was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five stolen bases, and six RBI. Turner is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Abby Patz was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

While Horton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
