North Smithfield/Mount St. Charles Academy will challenge Toll Gate on the road at 6:30 PM on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close contest.
North Smithfield/Mount St. Charles Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last week. They made easy work of North Providence and carried off a 35-12 win. North Smithfield/Mount St. Charles Academy were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Toll Gate had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 14-6 victory.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. While both teams are coming in off of wins, only one will triumph this week. Who will it be ? Check back in with MaxPreps after the game is over for details.
