On Saturday, Argonaut earned a 51-38 win over Leroy Greene Academy.
Argonaut's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Duran, who scored 23 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Duran has scored at least 25% of Argonaut's points. Mitchell Mcmahan was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds.
Argonaut's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Leroy Greene Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-6 record last season and are now at 1-7.
Argonaut will stay at home for another game and welcome Mt. Shasta at 8:00 p.m. on December 14th. Mt. Shasta presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Argonaut in California (Mt. Shasta is ranked 252nd, while Argonaut is ranked 612th). Leroy Greene Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Leroy Greene Academy likes a good challenge.
