Clarion-Limestone is a perfect 10-0 against Keystone since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lions will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Clarion-Limestone is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Marys just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flying Dutch.

Meanwhile, Keystone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 16-5 to Brookville.

Chaz Renninger was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (one). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Aidan Tharan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Brady Dunlap also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Clarion-Limestone's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Keystone, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Everything went Clarion-Limestone's way against Keystone in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Clarion-Limestone made off with a 14-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
