The Trinity Leadership Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Village Tech Viper Squid at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Leadership is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Trinity Leadership took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Keene 7-5.

Caron McGee made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. McGee was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Trinity Leadership: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-9-1 otherwise.
In other batting news, Jaden Fallesen was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played. Elijah Mar was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Village Tech). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Madison a 28-0 shutout on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Viper Squid as they're now sitting on three straight.
Like Trinity Leadership, Village Tech also got a great game from a two-way player: Angel Ontiveros. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ontiveros was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Village Tech got a massive performance out of Jesse Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Martinez a new career-high. Billy Byrd also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Village Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Trinity Leadership is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Village Tech, their record is now 4-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Trinity Leadership has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 10.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Village Tech struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Trinity Leadership came out on top in a nail-biter against Village Tech in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 12-11. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
