Pottsville is 9-1 against Tamaqua since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Pottsville Crimson Tide will be playing at home against the Tamaqua Blue Raiders at 7:30 p.m.
Last Saturday, Pottsville came up short against Hazleton Area and fell 54-47. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pottsville in their matchups with Hazleton Area: they've now lost three in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Letrel Montone, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Alvarez, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, even though Nativity BVM scored an imposing 67 points on Saturday, Tamaqua still came out on top. Tamaqua walked away with a 80-67 win over Nativity BVM.
Their wins bumped Pottsville to 2-2 and Hazleton Area to 2-1.
Pottsville came up short against Tamaqua when the teams last played back in January, falling 51-46. Can Pottsville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
