Hyde Park came out on top against Grace Community on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cougars an 11-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Hyde Park and bumps their season record up to 6-12. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Grace Community, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Hyde Park will square off against Grace Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Lions have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Grace Community, they will face off against East Texas Homeschool Sports at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
