Fort Wayne Wayne extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-8. They came up short against the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers, falling 16-2. If the Generals were looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Faith Couture made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
As for Fort Wayne Snider, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-7 record. The game marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.
On Fort Wayne Snider's side, Madelyn Taylor made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Taylor has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ameera Kummer, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025. Ella Houser was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
