Baseball Recap: Ware Beats Palmer for Their Sixth Straight Win

Ware had already won five in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They blew past the Palmer Panthers 14-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Kyle Kaczuwka made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Kaczuwka was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jason Mumper, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Nate Kaczuwka was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Ware's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Palmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ware will face off against South Hadley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmer, they will take on Pioneer Valley Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
