Hilton and Fairport are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Hilton Cadets will head out on the road to face off against the Fairport Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hilton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully Fairport likes a good challenge.
Even though Rush-Henrietta scored an imposing 57 points on Wednesday, Hilton still came out on top. Hilton blew past Rush-Henrietta 84-57 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Hilton has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, Fairport scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Rush-Henrietta 76-73. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Hilton's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Fairport, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Hilton was able to grind out a solid victory over Fairport when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 70-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hilton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
