Stroudsburg is 9-1 against Pocono Mountain West since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mountaineers will host the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Stroudsburg has three straight wins, Pocono Mountain West has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Stroudsburg not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29th (when they won 15-0). They blew past East Stroudsburg North 14-6.

AJ Trifilo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Will Fergusson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Paul Maccarrone was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Stroudsburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Pocono Mountain West came up short against Pleasant Valley on Tuesday, falling 20-11. Even if the Panthers couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Pocono Mountain West saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Kaulfers, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-4.
Stroudsburg's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Pocono Mountain West, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
Stroudsburg came out on top in a nail-biter against Pocono Mountain West in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 5-3. Do the Mountaineers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
