Tombstone is 2-8 against Bisbee since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Tombstone Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Bisbee Pumas at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Tombstone is ranked 97th, while Bisbee is ranked 89th).
Last Tuesday, Tombstone had to suffer through a rough 63-31 loss at the hands of St. Augustine Catholic. Tombstone has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, even though San Carlos scored an imposing 60 points on Monday, Bisbee still came out on top. Bisbee enjoyed a cozy 76-60 victory over San Carlos.
Bisbee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Francisco Loya , who scored 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Lopez , who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Valley Union's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Tombstone's defeat dropped theirs to 3-1.
Things could have been worse for Tombstone, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-46 loss to Bisbee in their previous meeting back in January. Can Tombstone avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
