The Discovery Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to Central Gwinnett at home by a decisive 60-44 margin. Discovery was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central Gwinnett apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
Among those leading the charge was Timothy Smith, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Izaiah Keever-simms, who scored 14 points.
Discovery's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Central Gwinnett, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Discovery will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Peachtree Ridge at 7:30 p.m. Peachtree Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Discovery in Georgia (Peachtree Ridge is ranked 145th, while Discovery is ranked 335th). As for Central Gwinnett, they will head out on the road to face off against South Gwinnett at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
