After losing to the Bartlett Indians the last time they met, the Sutton Sammies decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The stars were shining brightly for Sutton in a 65-47 win over Bartlett on Friday. With that victory, Sutton brought their scoring average up to 53.5 points per game.
Sutton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cam Benedict led the charge by scoring 24 points. Chase Gara was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
The victory got Sutton back to even at 1-1. As for Bartlett, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sutton will stay at home for another game and welcome Prouty at 6:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Bartlett will be home for the holidays to greet Southbridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
