Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Timber Creek's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Timber Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southlake Carroll Dragons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-34 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Timber Creek still got an impressive performance from Kylee Hunt, who posted 12 points and four steals. Hunt has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Krisi Willis also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Timber Creek's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Southlake Carroll, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-9.

Timber Creek will take on Byron Nelson at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Byron Nelson will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Timber Creek surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southlake Carroll, they will square off against Keller at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
